  | Contributed by:Ben Barry and I have been working on a new atomic age strategy. It involves using lots of infantry - bazookas as anti-tank, mortars for range and splash damage, stingers for anti-air, machine gunners against other infantry, flame-throwers for anti-building, medics for the healing power, a warrior hero, and some marines for some all-around goodness. It works surprisingly well, its main advantage being how incredibly cheap it all is; thus, just make a lot of barracks and pump out new units rapidly as previous armies get destroyed. It just doesn't pack the same punch in deathmatch games however, because there are other units that give greater power per population units spent on them. If you're going to be playing an all infantry army, you'll want a custom civ that has all the good infantry upgrades: range, attack, hit points, build time and build cost increase; then throw in a few extras to use up the remaining points, like civilization population cap bonus and the farming economy bonus. |   | |
